These are serious issues happening in many workplaces today and we are very happy to have two professionals from organizations that specialize in these issues to talk with us and share what they are working on to help mitigate them, the lessons learnt and how to create policies, standards and successful resources for them in the workplace. Both organizations are members of the SISFI Network.

Good day to you,

There is nothing like having local people in our communities that shares a common issue or goal and can work towards addressing the societal issues and their impacts on us a people together. The SISFI Network’s work has become a very respected and sought after resource that is spawning local abuse and bullying groups in many communities. We are very happy to see people coming forward in opening up to us and sharing their stories. This level of trust shows us that there is a dire need for what is being offered and how people are willing to open up to the pain, hurt and distress faced or being faced by the issues. This allows us to get a better view of how deeply entrenched these issues are in our society, and even more importantly is the need for local support groups to help both the abused and abuser, bully and bullied to seek comfort, an open channel of effective communications and resources to help them get over and past these issues.

There is no denying the existence of these issues of abuse and bullying and as bad as things are today with cases local and over the media, people are still denying them simply because they have not been directly affected by the issues and so they cannot relate to those who have and are going through them. That hurts me so badly because if we take a close look at the mass killings in schools and workplaces we will see that these issues are very much real and have multiple impacts and effects not only on the victims but also family and friends.

The number of people coming forward and opening up to us for help, guidance and support resources is increasing drastically every week as the word is out, the network is in effect and people just need closure, healing and help for themselves, family members or children in moving forward. Some people do not have any local expertise to assist in their cases and so they search through online forums, blogs and social media to connect with people and work on their issues. While this is one way of going about it, I believe the physical interaction between people who share similar issues and can relate to them is immeasurable and very well needed in these types of issues.

Therefore, we are always looking for people who are willing to be a support arm of the network as a local support group leader in their communities. Please feel free to pass this request and need on to anyone that can be a resource in is interested in being a local liaison and leadership channel.

Thank you very much and have a great day. We apprecilove your patronage and look forward to serving you more.

Good day to you,

As a Technology and IT Security professional services organization that has been an advocate for the enhancement of Technology and IT Security education, training, awareness and development for our people, we have taken the next step in creating a Community Security Network Operations Center “CSNOC” to further enhance this goal. Our CSNOC will help to provide more safety and security through technological advancement resources to secure the systems in our communities through a managed service infrastructure. This will allow the effective configuration, value and use of today’s latest and greatest technologies for the residents, consumer and business users. Leveraging the cloud technologies of today’s leading providers, we have been testing and building test pilots across our communities with great successes and are now ready for full deployment.

Our CSNOC will provide 24hrs technical support for all members systems which covers laptops, workstations, servers, tablets, mobile devices and other networked technologies with on and offline viral, malicious, intrusion detection and prevention and web content security. Our coverage of these technologies and solutions will remove the managing of yearly renewal submissions, product updates, learning, configuration and deployment from the users as our secure relations teams are always monitoring and working with our security development partners to ensure that we are staying on top of the latest updates, optimizations, configurations and settings so that we are always standing by our promise of creating a utopia of computer security for all no matter where you are using them.

We are very excited about this new service model offering as it speaks to our constant vigilance in creating a bigger, better and more converged security model for communities. Now our communities can be more securely connected and safe with the watchful eyes of our security experts team at the helm of this new era of technological advancements.

You can follow our CSNOC’s updates and development on Twitter here http://twitter.com/SISFIs_CSNOC

Thank you very much and have a great day. We apprecilove your patronage and look forward to serving you more.

Good day to you,

Over the past few weeks I have been working on this idea and I have now come up with a framework of which we will put into effect immediately for this to start in September. Please feel free to share your thoughts on it. I am always open to suggestions and I am willing to try them as long as they can fit into the logistics.

This will be a competition for the best essay or talent performance that depicts the lives of our youths and the ways in which the community and school impacts them. The essay will talk about their experiences, ambitions, goals and challenges in school and how they have overcome them or what suggestions, requests they have to make things better and/or improve them. The essays will be submitted on a special website to allow general viewing and voting of which we will select the top 5 for the winners.

The talent performances will feature a 15 minutes skit of a day in the life of the youths in their school and what message they would like to deliver to the people about it. This skit will require multiple people of which the applicant will choose 2-3 friends to help in delivering the message. This will mean coordinating rehearsals and planning for the performance.

The rules and conditions of the contest will be posted on the website when it opens.

The winners will receive individual prizes as well as their schools.

Here are the winning prizes for the top 5 selections:

- An iPad
- A Netbook
- A Kindle or Nook
- $500 gift certificate from BestBuy
- $200 gift certificate from Staples

Each winner will receive a copy of a book that speaks about teen/youth/community/social development, bullying, online/offline safety/security and leadership values. They will be required to attend our Black Tie Community Youths Awards Dinner Ceremony on Saturday November 13th where they will receive their prizes/awards. They will then move on to hold the title of “Empowered Community/Youth Development Leaders” and join a special team we will continue to work with going forward. Working with these youths will mean being mentors, advisors and support resources for them so they can continue building on their own personal development and be looked up to as leaders and resources in their community and school.

Every participating school will receive gifts such as books and technology products from our partners and sponsors.

Due to the scope of this competition and it being our first attempt at it, we are limiting it to NY and NJ and once we do this first one the next will be national. I want this to be a look at how we can accomplish this and see any challenges before opening it up to the national scene. The lessons learnt will be critical to the national level’s success. We are starting the promotions and have already started pushing out tweets and Facebook updates about it while we work on the logistics. Building up the momentum and anticipation will get the participating youths in motion for it.

The contest will run for the entire month of September and will end on October 1st of which we will start selecting the winners. The winners will be announced on Monday October 11th via the contests website. The notices of winning and invitations to the awards dinner will then be sent to the winners. The contest will then wrap up on November 13th at the awards dinner.

Here is the first tweaser (tweet teaser) we are using for now “SISFI/TITSSN’s “Youths: The impacts of community/school in our lives” Talent/Essay Competition is coming in September. Stay tuned.”

More details to come as we finalize this for kickoff in September. We are very excited about this and we hope to get great support for it. Let’s get it started.

Thank you very much and have a great day. We apprecilove your patronage and look forward to serving you more.

Subject: Happy Independence Day

With the pace and stress of our lives these days, it’s often very easy for us to forget what we hold to be of value.  That’s why, with everyone wishing each other a Happy Fourth of July weekend today, I wanted to take a moment to remember what most precious and valuable gift we’re really celebrating.

Independence.

On Sunday we commemorate the 234th anniversary of the day the original 13 United States of America declared their independence from England.  It’s easy for us to say those words today and almost miss the true meaning, so it’s worthwhile to take a moment to reflect on what the value of independence meant to those original citizens of the United States.

They were declaring independence from fear, from tyranny, from greed, and from repression.  They all came here to seek a better life for themselves and their families and, finding no change, fought and died to earn that independence.  It was so valuable to them that they were willing to sacrifice their lives to win it.

I look around me today, and it seems like we’ve almost come full circle.  We suffer from fear of losing our livelihoods and our homes, from the tyranny of a radical few, from the greed of those who only want to gather unto themselves, and from repression of our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  It’s not as simple as it was in 1776.  There are many more enemies to confront today, and some are very, very  hard to find.

So I just wanted to write this to my friends to entreat you to join me in commemorating not only this day, but the undying limitless value those first citizens of these United States fought and died to protect.  It passes to us now to continue their campaign and confront all of the enemies of our freedom with our best weapons; intelligence, wisdom, grace, and compassion.  Our numbers are many, and our cause is just.  Let’s all celebrate our independence and renew our resolve to preserve it.

Have a safe, healthy, fun Independence Day weekend!!!

With warmest & heartiest regards,

HMC

Good day to you,

We are getting ready to launch a major Cyberbullying offensive in May are asking for your support in numbers. We want to have a strong unified voice that will echo far and wide, loud and clear, deep and strong with hearts and hands in unity to every heart and mind. This is a people problem that can only be solved by the people if we unite and face the reality of its dark secrets and inner workings of simplicity. It is so easy to put into effect but yet so hard to get rid of or forget and unless/until we open up the lines of communications and call it what it is, we are in for more serious fatalities.

We are all affected by this threat and the only way we can win against it is to unify in a campaign of higher education, awareness and open discussions about the impacts, effects and solutions for it. Even if you don’t know of or about it, even if you have not been affected by it, even if you’re not privy to its darkness, help to bring them to light so we all can help each other overcome it.

We are aiming for at least 500 fans to kick off this initiative on our Facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Scudders-InfoTech-SecuriCity-Foundation-Inc/106901499345679?ref=mf  so let us spread the word, build on the intensity and start motivating towards this blocking and mitigating this silent killer.

Strength in numbers, strength in the vision, strength through unification, strength in hearts, mind, love, care and concern on this converged global network.

Please join the fight towards this goal with us on Facebook.

Will you join us in vanquishing this inhumane evil?

Thank you very much and have a great day. We apprecilove your support and look forward to serving you more.

Good day to you,

If you are a security vendor that provides solutions for mobile devices I am interested in talking with you about being a part of our MESS in February. Please feel free to contact me directly for further discussion.

Here is more information about the summit.

The Summit will be focusing on the proliferation of mobile devices (laptops, Tablet PCs, Pocket PCs, UMPCs, Smartphone’s, media players, mass storage devices and add-on cards) and the threats they present to the consumers/businesses and the data that resides on them. We will provide the products and solutions that will allow the management and control over these devices through the endpoints.

Live hands on demos will be available. There will be test/demo systems configured and setup to facilitate the effective use of the information and products being presented and demo’d. There will be mobile devices from the industry vendors such as HTC, Palm, Motorola, Google, Samsung and more.

We are all aware of how these devices can be used to steal data/information off the target system unbeknownst to the user.

The Summit will focus on 3 key areas of mobility and security.

1. The Devices – A look at the mobile devices on the market today.

a. Netbooks, Laptops, Tablet PCs, Mini PCs, UPMCs
b. Smartphone’s/Pocket PCs – HTC’s, Motorola’s, HP Smartphone’s, Samsung, Cell phones
c. Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Nexus One
d. Media Players – iPod’s, MP3 players and more
e. Mass Storage Devices (USB Flash drives, Compact and SD cards, mobile phone memory sticks, and more)
f. Wireless capabilities – Infrared, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WiMax,
g. The Operating Systems – Windows Mobile, Symbian, Apple, Android

2. The Threats – A look at the threats that affects these devices and how they are targeted and attacked from internal and external sources.

a. Viruses/worms proliferation from devices to network to world.
b. Unauthorized connectivity to and from unscrupulous devices and sources (wired and wireless).
c. The use of these devices for storing critical business data and information.
d. Sharing data and information to and from the device through messaging and wireless connectivity.
e. The availability of over the air messaging and other communications tools and the problems they present.
f. Data loss/Theft of these devices and the business impact it presents.
g. Addressing the myths about over-the-air wiping of the device and why it is not effective today. The device is still a threat if lost.

3. The Protection – How to manage, protect and secure these devices from the threats.

a. How to manage the devices on and off the network.
b. How to protect and secure your endpoints from these unauthorized devices.
c. How to secure the devices against malicious codes (viruses, worms, Trojans, keyloggers, hackers) with viral protection.
d. How to secure the data/information residing on the devices local store and storage cards with data encryption.
e. How to secure the wireless connections of the device.
f. What to do in the event of a device loss or theft – the incident alert/response, damage control and alerting process.
g. How to make the over-the-air wiping feature effective and to mitigate the loss of data if device is lost.

Please feel free to share this request with any vendor that may find it of value.

Thank you and have a great day,

Good day to you,

As we say goodbye to 2009 and welcome in the start of a new decade, 2010, I would like to wish you all a happy, safe, secure, prosperous and resourceful New Year in 2010 for you and yours. Let us all look ahead at greater things and the betterment of ourselves as a people, not individuals in the coming year.

Let us start the year with an open mind, a serious consciousness on the state of our technology infrastructure, the simplicity of its configuration and use and the complexities that defines its vulnerabilities for all. Let us reflect on the year that has past and learn from it with all the issues and challenges that we faced and use them to move forward with more education, awareness, growth and future development.
