I am home and happy to be here but God, I miss New Orleans :-(

Hi all,

I made it home safely and must say that I am already missing New Orleans. Last night we went to Bourbon Street and was out till 3:30am. The sad part was, we had an early start for the day as today was the last day of the event and so we had to be up at registration by 8am.

The other sad thing is, I had a device that had not readjusted to the time zone change and so it went off at 7am which was really 6am and so I was up an hour earlier than I planned and after coming in so late I could have used the extra sleep.

Anyway, it worked out ok as the fun filled and eventful day kept me awake and we all parted ways at 1:30pm when the event ended and now i’m home safely. Yayyy.

I now have to catch up on the past 5 days of work as I had rushed out of here so fast on Friday I left my laptop behind but luckily, I have an awesome mobile device that kept me in the loop and abreast with the needed access and resources I needed.

So i’m back home and ready to go.

Greetings from New Orleans where it’s beautiful, sunny and bright.

Hi all,

I am writing to you from sunny and beautiful New Orleans where the weather is divine. I got in last night and in a mad rush to make my flight on time I ended up leaving my tablet PC and camera.

So here I am in this beautiful place and relying soley on my mobile device to keep me connected and updated on things. The camera is good enough to take good pics and I have quite a few to share.

The home build was awesome today. We worked on two houses and got a lot done. We shared the site with twenty young people from a university in the city and they were just as excited as we were to be on site. They were working on one of the houses before and so we all joined in to try and finish it up.

There were a total of one hundred and twenty of us onsite and we all had fun while working in the sun. I’d say we did a great job and accomplished a lot and I felt very satisfied about it.

I met some cool people from all over the country and that by itself was well worth it.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and give you a heads up and share all the fun and excitement here in New Orleans. Now I have to go check out the French Quarters and find some seafood to eat.

Pics will follow when I get home on Wednesday. Sorry.

New Orleans here we come. Brace yourself as TITSSN comes into town thanks to the Everything Channel

Good day to you,

I am bursting with excitement as my trip to New Orleans this weekend will be one of great excitement and good will (did I mention how excited I was, oh yea). At the invite of the Everything Channel, I will be attending their XChange Solution Provider conference from March 8-11. They are some of the most awesome people I have worked with and known in my time and I must say that if you ever get a chance to be where they are hosting an event, get in it. It will be awesome.

Ever since hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans i’ve wanted to go down and help in the recovery and rebuilding process. I had such strong feeling about the devastation and impact on the people that i’ve tried to find ways in which I could assist from the network. As TITSSN is a services/solutions provider, offering our services and support as a contribution towards their recovery and rebuilding was a keen issue for me as technology is our future and we are the future of technology. I wanted this to happen sooner than later but things aren’t always timely when needed but at least it will happen thanks to the Everything Channel.

Well, it’s never too late to help as there is much to be done there and so on Saturday March 7th as a part of the Everything Channel’s community involvement and partnership with the city of New Orleans, a few of the event participants will be assisting the Habitat for Humanity group for the day by doing a home build (pics will follow).

We will be taking the hands, hearts and the tools needed to help rebuild infrastructure and bring back the luster to this great area of our country. This will be the fulfillment of a great achievement for me as a community/technology leader who places strong emphasis and values in community involvement, development and growth.

So on behalf of TITSSN and the Far Rockaway Community Coalition, i’d like to extend my highest gratitude and thanks to Ms. CT Thomas, Ms. Sonja Williams and Ms. Tracy Fischer of the Everything Channel for this extraordinary opportunity to give something back to the people of New Orleans, thank you.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, I must now brace myself for a hectic few days of work, meetings, presentations and good networking.

Ahoy there New Orleans, i’m on my way.
